Enhancing Usersnap Insights Page with AI

Usersnap is a user feedback platform that helps product teams collect feedback, discover insights and take action.

I led the end-to-end design of a brand-new Insights page that helps users uncover trends in product feedback—surfacing what’s going well and what needs urgent attention.

  • Deliver specific, high-value insight that reduces time to value and lightens the load on product teams.

Goals

Goals

Goals

Help users instantly spot patterns in feedback: what’s trending positively, and where negative sentiment is growing.

Reduce the need for manual analysis or external exports.

Strengthen our product’s time to value (TTV) by creating an earlier “aha!” moment during the discovery phase.

My Role

My Role

My Role

  • Partnered with our AI team to scope how we could detect trending topics and run sentiment analysis across feedback data.

  • Designed a new Insights UI to display:

    • Top 3 trending positive topics

    • Bottom 3 trending negative topics

  • Prototyped and presented multiple versions to stakeholders.

  • Gathered feedback from product and sales teams and iterated accordingly.

  • Worked closely with engineers to hand off final specs and behavior guidelines for implementation.

Process

Process

Process

I collaborated with Product, Engineering, Marketing, AI and CS teams to uncover what customers were looking for, how we can differentiate from competitors and what the technical feasibility was to utilize AI to leverage sentiment and prioritize the top insights.

Once landing on MVP requirements…

  • I designed a high fidelity wireframe and presented the design to team and received feedback and critiques on original design.

  • Made iterations to design

  • Handed off finalized MVP design to the engineering team.

  • Exploring future opportunities to expand on this insights page.

To address these challenges, we implemented:

  • Enhanced Navigation: Update menu to find "Bargain Corner" and include dynamic cart so that customers can checkout or view cart at any time.

  • Responsive Layout: Optimized for mobile and desktop users to navigate through funnel with ease and fine products.

  • Defined Process: Key information repeated at product, cart, checkout, confirmation pages as well as email notification when order is complete to provide customers with details they need.

Initial Designs

I originally designed in Figma a screen that displays the top three positive and bottom 3 negative insights two ways— through a line chart and through cards. After initial designs, I learned it would be best. to split the line chart into two charts, displaying Positive and Negative sentiment trends.

Outcomes

Outcomes

Outcomes

This project supports our company’s broader goals in two ways:

  1. Time to Value (TTV): By showing meaningful insights right away, we help users hit that first aha moment fast.

  2. Discovery Support: Insight analysis is a core activity for product discovery. Making it effortless increases user retention and trust in our platform.
